{"id":5159,"date":"2024-02-20T11:14:58","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T11:14:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/integratedcarejournal.com\/?p=5159"},"modified":"2024-02-21T15:20:04","modified_gmt":"2024-02-21T15:20:04","slug":"voting-opens-our-health-heroes-2024-finalists-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/integratedcarejournal.com\/voting-opens-our-health-heroes-2024-finalists-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"Voting opens as Our Health Heroes 2024 finalists announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skillsforhealth.org.uk\/awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Our Health Heroes<\/a> recognises the extraordinary people at the heart of our NHS and is delivered by Skills for Health in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhsemployers.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NHS Employers<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NHS England<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbs.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NHS Shared Business Services<\/a> and more.<\/p>\n<p>Fifteen finalists have been shortlisted across five categories celebrating the UK\u2019s health heroes.<\/p>\n<p>Votes are welcome from across the community \u2013 including colleagues and service users \u2013 to decide who will be crowned gold, silver and bronze award winners at a ceremony held in Central London on 16 April.<\/p>\n<p>And the finalists are\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apprentice of the year:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phoebe Edwards, Podiatry Apprentice, East London NHS Foundation Trust<\/li>\n<li>Ben Martin, Data Quality Support Analyst, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust<\/li>\n<li>Debbie Harris, Healthcare Assistant, Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Healthcare Volunteer of the Year:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rezmin Islam, Volunteer, Liverpool Women\u2019s NHS Foundation Trust<\/li>\n<li>Tracy Spencer, Volunteer, WithYou in North Lincolnshire<\/li>\n<li>Paul Fox, Yoga4Health &amp; Yoga4NHS Co-ordinator, The Yoga in Healthcare Alliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Outstanding Life Contribution sponsored by NHS Employers<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Philip Helliwell, Rheumatology Consultant, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust<\/li>\n<li>Tony Westacott, Learning and Development Manager, Avon &amp; Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust<\/li>\n<li>Elaine Allison, Matron, St. Bartholomew&#8217;s Court Nursing Home<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Operational Support Worker of the Year<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paula Di Palma, Housekeeping Manager, St Raphael\u2019s Hospice<\/li>\n<li>Cat Carman, Social Prescriber, Fenland Group Practice<\/li>\n<li>Tina Jackson, Family Liaison Officer, Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Clinical Support Worker of the Year:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chido Munyanyi, Therapy Support Worker, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust<\/li>\n<li>Swati Gor, Healthcare Assistant, Havergal Surgery<\/li>\n<li>Kerry Clark, Macmillan Cancer Support Worker, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Voting opens today (20 February) and closes at 11.59pm on 5 March.
