Public Policy Projects (PPP) is pleased to invite you to our last digital series thought leadership breakfast of 2018 with the\u00a0Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer of NHS England, Dr Harpreet Sood on\u00a0\u201cUnlocking the data revolution” <\/strong>kindly sponsored by Privacy Analytics, and IQVIA company.<\/p>\n Following the publication of the Secretary of State’s “vision for a tech driven NHS” we are looking forward to welcoming NHS England’s\u00a0Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer\u00a0as he leads the conversation on turning this plan to reality. The data revolution is upon us, and the NHS is facilitating the implementation for the benefit of patients.\u00a0 This breakfast discussion has been organised to understand the delivery mechanisms and unpick the ethical discussions associated with the data revolution.<\/p>\n Date:<\/strong>\u00a0Tuesday, November 27th 2018<\/p>\n Time:\u00a0<\/strong>7.30am – 9.30am<\/p>\n Location:\u00a0<\/strong>The Royal Society,\u00a06-9 Carlton House Terrace, London,\u00a0SW1Y 5AG.<\/p>\n Dr Harpreet Sood<\/strong><\/p>\n Dr Harpreet Sood is the Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) at NHS England and a doctor\u00a0at University College Hospital (UCH).<\/p>\n As Associate CCIO, Harpreet is involved in implementing the NHS England technology and digital health strategy, including leading and co-launching the NHS Digital Academy, one of the key initiatives from the strategy. Additionally,\u00a0Harpreet is involved with the Topol Review, looking at the impact of technology on the workforce as well as developing a code of conduct for data and digital health innovations including artificial intelligence in the NHS.\u00a0\u00a0Harpreet was formerly Senior Fellow to the CEO of NHS England.<\/p>\n Prior to NHS England, Harpreet worked\u00a0at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston where he focused on diffusing innovation through complex\u00a0organisations with the launch of the innovation hub, iHub,\u00a0service\u00a0care redesign and researching\u00a0the impact of health information technology on\u00a0healthcare.\u00a0Whilst in Boston, Harpreet also co-founded a digital health start-up in\u00a0paediatric\u00a0asthma adherence.\u00a0Harpreet trained as a clinical doctor at King\u2019s College London and Imperial College Business School and completed a Masters in Public Health (MPH) at Harvard University.<\/p>\n Harpreet sits on the Advisory Board for Digital Health.London and is a\u00a0Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics.<\/p>\n
