Public Policy Projects (PPP) is pleased to invite you to our public health reception on “Making England Smoke Free. Turning Policy into Practice: How do you deliver the Long-Term Plan in relation to smoking cessation?”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n NHS England (NHSE) highlighted its plans to make England a smoke-free society in the Long-Term Plan (LTP). They proposed that by 2023\/24 all admitted patients will be offered tobacco treatment services funded by the NHS. These tobacco treatment services have been modelled off successful programs in Canada and Manchester, UK and include advice, bedside counselling, timely Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and\/or pharmacotherapy and follow-up after acute discharge.<\/p>\n PPP invites you to join an expert panel for a wide ranging discussion on this often sensitive topic, as we discuss how funding, resources and workforce will be allocated to successfully implement this model?<\/p>\n Date:<\/strong>\u00a0Monday 16th September, 2019<\/p>\n Time:\u00a0<\/strong>18:00-21:00<\/p>\n Location:\u00a0<\/strong>IET London: Savoy Place, 2 Savoy Place, WC2R 0BL<\/p>\n We will be serving drinks and canapes.
